The Safe Environment Coordinator and Parish Database Assistant is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program at the parish level while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the parish membership and sacramental records database. This position ensures compliance with diocesan policies for the protection of minors and vulnerable adults and provides administrative support for parish records, membership, and contributions through the Parish Data System (PDS). The coordinator works closely with parish staff, volunteers, and diocesan offices to maintain accurate records, support parish communication, and assist the Parish Business Manager with membership and contribution data management.
The Parish Life Coordinator plays a vital role in evangelizing and nurturing the parish community by handling reservations for ministries and groups, overseeing many of the parish-wide events and collaborating closely with ministry leaders who celebrate, support, serve, and empower our diverse parish community. This position fosters the mission and vision of the parish through active leadership, and support of parish life programming. This is a part-time (24-28 hours per week), non-exempt position requiring frequent evening and weekend availability, which could grow into a full-time position depending on the right candidate.
St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church is seeking a joyful, faith-filled Catholic to join our team as a Part-Time Youth Ministry Coordinator. This position is focused primarily on relational ministry, building meaningful relationships with middle and high school youth, leading small groups, assisting with youth nights, retreats and conferences, supporting campus ministry at St. Mark Catholic School and helping create opportunities for young people to encounter Jesus Christ.

A Safe Environment Refresher Training session will be held on Sunday, August 30, at 2:00pm in McGivney Hall. This session is only for volunteers who need to renew their current Safe Environment training. New volunteers must complete the initial Safe Environment training online through VIRTUS before volunteering at the parish.
Beginning Sunday, August 9, the Brides Room/Choir Practice space will become a welcoming shared space designed to support families with young children during the 8:45am & 10:30am Masses. In keeping with the mission of the Catholic Church, this space will exist to foster reverence, hospitality, safety, and participation in the liturgy while helping children grow in faith and love for Jesus Christ. The parish will provide a clean space, with a child gate so the door may remain open during Mass, and a container with Catholic toys, book and puzzles for young children up to approx. 3 years old.

The current price for a niche is $5,000 but the price will be increasing to $6,000 on July 15. To purchase a Niche you must be an active St. Mark parishioner for at least six months.
