“The Eucharistic Table is Set, but Who is Missing?”
"When you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind; blessed indeed will you be" Luke 14:13-14
St. Mark parish is a diverse tapestry, reflecting God's amazing creation, and every member, regardless of ability, is an indispensable part of the body of Christ. We believe that everyone has unique gifts and talents to share, and we are committed to ensuring our community is one of true belonging for all.
To make this vision a reality, St. Mark parish was invited by the Bishop to be part of the Diocesan Cohort “Community of Disciples”, and we need your insight, passion, and creativity!
Why We Need You:
We want to move beyond mere accessibility and create a culture where every person feels valued, supported, and empowered to participate fully in all aspects of church life—from worship and small groups to leadership and service. We want to ensure that no barriers, physical or social, stand in the way of anyone connecting with God and our community.
Your Role in this Ministry:
We are looking for people with diverse perspectives:
Individuals with disabilities and their family members (who are the experts in their own care and experience!).
Educators, healthcare professionals, and advocates.
Anyone with a willing heart and a desire to make a difference. (You don't have to know it all; you just need to be a friend!)
Educate our congregation and celebrate the unique gifts everyone brings.
How to Get Involved: Your involvement can have a lasting and eternal impact on the lives of individuals and families in our community. If you are interested in being part of this exciting new team or simply want to learn more, please register below and join us February 15, 2026, St. Mark Parish Office/Youth Center, from10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, lunch will be provided.
Let's work together to "break through the literal and metaphorical roofs of our Churches" to gather everyone at Jesus' feet.
