Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs) have the privilege of assisting with the distribution of Holy Communion during Mass and bringing the Eucharist to those who are sick or homebound.

Please note: Interest forms are accepted year-round, even after our annual training has concluded.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist priests and deacons in distributing Holy Communion when needed.

At St. Mark, EMHCs may serve in the following ways:

• During Mass: Assist with the distribution of Holy Communion to the faithful.
• Homebound Ministry: Bring Holy Communion to parishioners who are unable to attend Mass due to illness or other circumstances.
• Hospital Ministry: Bring Holy Communion to patients who are unable to attend Mass.

All EMHCs receive formation and training to prepare them to serve with reverence and care.
